Industrial Engineering deals with the design, establishment and efficiency of integrated systems consisting of people, machinery, information, hardware and energy. It utilizes specialized knowledge and skills in mathematical, physical and social sciences, as well as engineering analysis and design principles and methods for identifying, predicting and evaluating the results of these systems. For this purpose, industrial engineering education, operations research, statistics, simulation, production planning and management of the basic courses about the system approach to students, team work predisposition, questioning and benchmarking, problem solving with an analytical point of view, modeling the problem, model solving, information technologies in computer support effective use, above all, provides continuous monitoring of change features.
The graduates of the Department of Industrial Engineering who grow their knowledge and skills in order to have high-level management skills in all companies, although they usually work in manufacturing companies, have increased in recent years; health, banking, insurance, finance, information, communication, logistics sectors, such as service or service systems can be employed. Industrial Engineers who undertake important tasks in the establishment of systems in enterprises; production planning engineer, product development specialist, purchasing engineer, sales engineer, business analyst, bank inspector, project manager, process engineer, order and logistics engineer can find jobs such as positions.
